Happy Hallow-wiener

Yes, you read that correct: Happy Hallow-wiener. Last weekend we took a "pod" outing to a Halloween event for wiener dogs! I know, it sounds very random, but my friend has two wiener dogs and my other friend purchased a hot dog costume for her pup, so we we made an outing of it. Shelby loved the pups, the dogs loved the other dogs and as always, Jack and I just enjoyed getting out and about!

There was a nominal admission fee (that went to a charity) and a variety of contests that went throughout the day including a race, costume content, belly rubbing, kissing and howling. I chased Shelby all afternoon as she chased other dogs' balls, toys and water bowls.

Although not a wiener dog, our friend Brian and dog Maggie won the "Best Kisser contest." Of course, we were extremely proud!
