Introducing The Mosbachers

Howard and Maia's wedding was wonderful - just beautiful. It was a toasty day, but that aside, they created the perfect day, to kick off the rest of their lives. Congrats to the Mosbachers! Our photos from the day are a little bit of a mixed bag because one of us always had Shelby and the other, Sienna. Shelby LOVED to play with her "cousins" (my cousin's kids) Portia and Stella. They were trying to find frogs :)

Wedding Activities! 

My brother's rehearsal dinner was SO MUCH FUN! They put so much time and energy into making it a memorable, comfortable, fun event for everyone and it all paid off. Yes, it was warm, but it did not matter. We all had a lovely time and the bride and groom looked happy as could be! I adored their wedding venue. So beautiful and charming. 

The Mighty American River

The day before my brother's wedding, Howard organized a half-day rafting trip down the American River. It was a BLAST! Not only was the rafting fun and the scenery good for he soul, I had a chance to spend some awesome quality time with two of my brothers, my cousins and to meet some of Howard's friends and family. Great memories. Thank you to Jack and Carli for hanging back with the girls so I could go.

Jelly Belly Factory!

Living in Northern California and driving to volleyball tournaments weekend, after weekend, I must have driven by the Jelly Belly Factory a zillion times. I know my mom and brothers had visited it before...but I never had. While driving home from Brent and Carli's house, I made a (very!!) last minute decision to take the girls. Shelby swore that she'd be on her best behavior because I did not have anything but my two arms for Sienna. Needless to say, we had a great time and you can't beat the price....FREE!

Visit with Uncle Brent and Aunt Carli

I took advantage of my time in California and drove down to Brent and Carli's house for a night. Yes, it was a ton of work to pack the girls up (solo!) for an overnight trip, but it was worth it. I was able to see their new home and their new hometown. We packed a lot in, in 24 hours.....park, a drive, pizza, marshmallows, a visit with my high school friend and her boys. What a wonderful memory and wow - I love Brent and Carli's house. Who knew Petaluma was so amazzzzing?!

7 Months!

My sweet Sienna. So cheery, so lovely, so sweet. We are now downhill to her first birthday. This little one is such a delight. Sienna spent the first day of her 7th month waking up in a hotel in Bakersfield with her mom, sister and Grandpa, stopping at Chuck E Cheese for a mid-trip playdate with her cousin Wylie and a 260 mile drive to Placerville. She rocked it though....just like she normally does :)

What is Sienna up to?

• Loves watching her sister
• Sleeps about 9 hours at a time. She needs about 12 total, so it's not quite "through the night" but not horrible
• Size 12 clothes
• This week she started saying Mama, got TEETH and waved a couple of times
• Loves her milk
• Hates her veggies. She def has a picky palate- I did not go through this with Shelby. 
• Rolls all over
• Almost done with that helmet
• Babbles, squeaks and shrieks!

We love you Sienna bug!

She swam the whole way.....TWICE!

What an amazing morning. Shelby's swim instructor suggested that Shelby complete the "swim test," where she has to swim 25 yards (one lap!) without stopping or holding on to the lane rope. I was nervous about it, but the instructor was convinced she could do it....and she sure COULD! TWICE! It was so awesome! She went all the way down. Stopped. I cried. I hugged her. Then she got back in, and did it AGAIN!

Holy moly. The best part? My dad and Jack were there too! Way to go little dolphin!

Sitting Pretty

Right around the 4th of July, Sienna pulled out this trick - she sat up! She will still tumble over, so I have to keep a close eye on her, but I think it still counts. Check another "first" off the list!

Best Buddies: Shelby + Maddy

These two have the best time together and I love it because I love Nicole (her Mom) and Jack gets along famously with her Dad, Brian. Cheers to a summer of fun in the pod! 

Cousins, Cousins, Cousins!

Over 4th of July we had Jack's family visit us and it was a total blast...cousins, cousins, cousins! I grew up with a TON of cousins, so it's fun to see my girls create similar bonds. The big kiddos are so sweet with the little kiddos. Our visit was full of fun activities from block party BBQs to poolside get togethers at Lifetime!
