Easter 2016

As Shelby gets older, holidays become more and more fun. Shelby was fascinated by the Easter Bunny. Does he watch us like Santa? What does he bring us? How does he get in the house? Is he magic?  Jack and I had to pull all kinds of answers out of the air! We were blessed to have a very beautiful day together. It was a lot of work to get food prepared and everyone out the door at a set time, but we managed. We went to our friend's - the Harper's - for a lovely afternoon. Jack's parents were there too, so they were able to enjoy "Baby's First Easter" too!

And as a bonus, we FINALLY got a picture of the four of us!

 Dying Easter Eggs 

Shelby had a great time dying Easter eggs. We ended up with several purple/brown eggs because she  quickly burned through her 12 eggs and instead of quitting, decided to keep dipping them in various colors....over and over. In my family, we used to play wiffle ball with the  left over eggs, but most of these went to waste, aside from the fun memory. Dad got in on the action too and made a fancy egg...of course!

Three Months!

My sweet little Sienna is three months new! Unlike the anniversary of her first and second month, this one was spent rushing to and from school and work. She is doing just great though. Sienna is truly sugar and spice and everything nice. We could not ask for more!

I love the bottom photo of Shelby and Sienna. Each morning, Shelby is the first face that Sienna sees and Shelby normally says, "Good morning my little bundle. Time to wake up!"

Thumb Sucker in the Making??

Sienna has a strong desire to suck on her binky. Recently, I have caught her trying to suck on her thumb a couple of times. We might just have a thumb sucker on our hands. Cute.....but SO bad for her teeth. Eeeek!

Special Visitors

Ellette, Adam, Dylan, Dommy and Haley all came out to Las Vegas last week. We all had SO MUCH fun! They all stayed at Jack's parents' house, but spent a lot of quality time with us and also down on the Strip exploring. It was wonderful. Shelby had a blast playing with her cousins and they all had the opportunity to meet Sienna girl. Good memories all around!

Waking Up Happy

Cough Cough Cough

Oye. For the last several months, SOMEONE has had a cough in our house at all times. Shelby, my mom, me, Jack, repeat.  The latest victim...Sienna :(  Her poor little immune system finally gave in.  Not that there is ever a great time for an infant to get a cough, but right before I return to work is not ideal. Shelby had a very bad cough,that later turned into an ear infection, and I think that is what did Sissy in. Fortunately, it is just a cold. I took her in and it's not in her lungs and not RSV. It has just to run its course, as they say. As you can see though from the recent photos below, she is still in lovely spirits!

Dream Big Little One

Earlier this week we transitioned Sienna to her crib. Part of our motivation was preparing for our new life when I go back to work. The other part of our motivation was the fact that she has outgrown the infant sleeper in the pack and play.

Jack put the final touches on her room and he mounted the baby monitor (LOVE this one!). She has slept through the night like a champ! Such a sweet girl....dream big little one!
